紫洳的母親，年少時為愛下嫁草根，親身經歷過生活逼人。為了讓子女得到自己心中認為的最好，對子女實行鐵的教育，養大了移民外國的大兒子、早早成家的大女兒、和不是兒子的小兒子。當年對紫洳變性的念頭大力反對，奈何紫洳成年後便不再乖乖聽話，不孝子成了不孝女。丈夫早逝，一直念著三個子女不孝的她，不願孤獨終老，不情不願地和紫洳重修關係。

 

Mother of Chiyu, YukTai married into the lower class for love and suffered for it greatly, leading her to hold an iron fist when it came to her children and their life choices. Her eldest son fled overseas when he had the chance and her daughter married early, leaving her with the only son, who turned out to be a daughter. YukTai opposed Chiyu’s decision to transition with much fire, swearing to banish her from the family if Chiyu dared to become a woman. Chiyu did anyways. Not long after Waiho became Chiyu, YukTai lost her husband as her “last surviving companion”. Afraid of dying alone, she reconciled with Chiyu, albeit unwillingly.
